Editorial Policy

This Editorial Policy explains how Naam Jaap Counter creates, reviews, and presents educational content on https://www.jaapcounter.in.

Last updated: September 4, 2026

1. Who creates this website

Naam Jaap Counter is an independent project. It is not affiliated with a temple, ashram, guru lineage, or religious organisation. The counter and articles are built and maintained by the site operator to support personal japa practice.

You can reach us at postsyncs@gmail.com or through the contact page.

2. Purpose of our content

Our educational articles explain japa, counting, and related practices in plain language. They are meant to support beginners and returning practitioners — not to replace a qualified teacher in any tradition.

The main product on this site is a digital counting tool on the homepage. Articles are supplementary resources.

3. How we research and write

We draw on widely available descriptions of japa practice, traditional counting methods, and common beginner questions. When a topic varies between lineages or regions, we try to say so rather than present one view as universal.

We revise articles when we find clear factual errors. If you believe something on the site is inaccurate, please contact us with the page URL and your concern.

4. Tradition, belief, and science

Many topics on this site involve religious and spiritual traditions. We describe practices as they are commonly understood within those traditions.

Religious and spiritual beliefs are not presented as established scientific facts. Where a claim is tradition-specific, we aim to identify it as such.

Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, and other traditions may describe japa differently. We do not claim that one method is correct for everyone.

5. Health and medical topics

This website does not claim that chanting, mantras, or japa cure, treat, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. If you have a health concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

6. Corrections and updates

We welcome factual corrections from readers. Contact us at the email above with the page link and a clear description of the issue. We review messages in good faith and update content when appropriate.

Article dates on each guide show when content was last revised.
